Thin Film Composites for Concrete

Chesterton’s thin-film epoxy coatings offer reliable protection for concrete surfaces in industrial environments prone to chemical exposure, abrasion, and moisture. Products like ARC CS2 and ARC CS4 are 100% solids, novolac-based formulations that form tough, low-permeability barriers with excellent adhesion, stronger than concrete, applied in thin coats by roller, brush, trowel, or spray. These high-performance systems resist temperatures up to around 175°F dry and 105–125°F wet and can be broadcast with grit for slip resistance.

Ideal for tanks, containment zones, process floors, sumps, drains, and cooling towers, these coatings outperform conventional paints and tiles. Pre-measured kits ensure consistent application over large areas, helping prevent costly concrete repair or reconstruction, while delivering long-term durability and reduced maintenance across critical infrastructure.

They also provide excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals, including acids and solvents, making them suitable for harsh processing environments. Their seamless finish helps reduce contamination risks and simplifies cleaning.
