Erosion Resistant Coatings for Metal
Chesterton’s erosion-resistant coatings, ARC 858 and ARC 855, are specifically engineered to protect metal equipment from severe wear, corrosion, and chemical attack in demanding industrial environments. ARC 858 is a high-build, trowel-applied composite designed to restore worn or damaged metal surfaces, providing long-term durability and protection even under extreme operating conditions. ARC 855 is a thin-film, brush- or roll-applied epoxy that creates a smooth, low-drag surface while offering excellent chemical and erosion resistance. Used together, these coatings provide a complete system for restoring equipment, enhancing performance, and extending overall service life.
Both ARC 858 and ARC 855 are 100% solids, ceramic-reinforced coatings that bond strongly to metal, resist thermal shock, and perform reliably in both wet and dry environments. Ideal for pumps, impellers, fans, valves, piping, and other critical equipment, ARC 858 rebuilds and reinforces metal surfaces, while ARC 855 seals and protects. With easy application, strong adhesion, zero VOCs, and long-lasting performance, this coating system helps reduce maintenance costs, minimize downtime, and maximize operational efficiency across a wide range of industrial operations.
