Polymer Labyrinth Seal (PLS)

The Chesterton Polymer Labyrinth Seal (PLS) is a non-contact bearing seal designed to protect pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment in splash-lubricated environments. Its three-piece design—including a rotor, stator, and integrated valve—effectively blocks contaminants while retaining lubrication, helping extend machinery service life.

Made from a proprietary polymer, the PLS operates reliably at temperatures from –50°C to 60°C and shaft speeds up to 6,000 feet per minute (30.5 m/s). Its durable, non-sparking construction ensures consistent performance in demanding industries such as pulp and paper, petrochemical, and wastewater treatment.
