The Chesterton BSS (Buffer Support System) is a non-pressurized seal support tank designed for use with dual mechanical seals in Plan 52 configurations. Ideal for applications where contamination control is critical, such as in food, pharmaceutical, and fine chemical processing, the BSS maintains a clean buffer fluid environment without the need for external pressurization. Its compact design allows for easy installation, while built-in thermosyphon circulation or seal pumping rings ensure consistent fluid movement across the seal faces.

Equipped with practical features like a fill valve, level gauge, and pressure indicator, the BSS simplifies operation and monitoring. Constructed from 316 stainless steel and available with optional cooling coils, this system helps extend seal life, improve reliability, and maintain optimal operating conditions for dual seals in a wide range of services.
