763 Rust Transformer™

Chesterton 763 Rust Transformer is a tannic acid-based liquid that converts rust into a stable, corrosion-resistant surface. It penetrates deep into rusted metal, forming a protective base for painting or coating without the need for sandblasting. Ideal for use on tanks, structural steel, vehicles, marine equipment, and other metal assets.

Easy to apply by brush, roller, or spray, it requires only moderate humidity and temperatures above 10 °C to activate. The formula is biodegradable, worker-safe, and rinses clean with water—leaving no harmful acids or flash rust. It reduces labor, safety risks, and surface prep time while improving long-term corrosion protection.
