Chesterton 5800 WedgeSeal™ is a die-formed graphite valve packing system designed to reduce stem friction while maintaining excellent sealing performance. Its wedge-shaped sealing rings allow for responsive valve operation with minimal gland load, making it ideal for high-temperature and critical applications like steam service, MOVs, AOVs, and nuclear environments.
With outstanding chemical resistance and high-pressure capabilities—rated up to 3,000 psi and extreme temperatures—it offers long-term reliability. It’s also available in a control-valve kit version (5800E) with carbon end rings for low-emission performance.
