477-1

Chesterton 477‑1 is a high-performance carbon fiber packing made with low-modulus filament yarn and inorganic blocking agents to resist gas and liquid penetration. Treated with a molybdenum-based corrosion inhibitor, it offers strong sealing with reduced stem pitting and wear.

Rated for extreme conditions—up to 1,050°F, 3,600 psi in stationary service, and pH 0–13—it provides low friction, fast break-in, and long service life. Ideal for pumps and valves in demanding industrial environments.
