Rugged, No-Flush Seal for Heavy Slurry Environment
The Chesterton 170L is designed for demanding slurry applications where flush water is limited or unavailable. Built for abrasive and high-solids slurries such as ore, coal, phosphate, and sugar processing, this single cartridge seal delivers reliable, long-term performance under tough conditions.
Its external coil spring design prevents clogging by keeping components clear of the process fluid, while a single clamping screw simplifies installation and removal in challenging environments. The 170L offers large internal clearances to accommodate shaft movement and vibration, and is engineered to fit directly into Warman® AH® series pumps. With its compact profile and rugged construction, the 170L helps reduce water use, prevent dilution, and extend equipment uptime in severe slurry service.
